500ml bottle of Lugol's Iodine 3% solution. it is made up of 1% elemental iodine and 2% potassium iodide in deionised water. Lugol's Iodine is commonly used in the demonstration of starch and other polysaccharides and as a part of the famous Gram Stain procedure to distinguish gram positive from gram negative bacteria.
